Privacy Policy

My privacy policy is very simple. I don't share information with anyone. I have no "valued partners," "no sponsored content," and no other nonsense.

However, information may be shared to conform to legal requirements, or to respond to lawful court orders, subpoenas, warrants, or other requests by public authorities (including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).

The only way I know anything about you is if you contact me or if you make a purchase. The one exception to that is that my web server does know your IP address and that is logged. This is a necessity of operating on the web. When you come to my website, my server needs to know where to send the web pages back to you. The web is two way communication in that aspect.

My website is actually in two parts. The "informational" part is located at https://www.Reeves-Music.com while the "store" is hosted at https://reevesmusic.myshopify.com which provides the store functions and processes credit card payments.

Shopify's privacy policy can be reached at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy and is by reference included in this privacy policy.

Payments for products are through Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, Apply Pay, Goggle Pay, Pay Pal, and Shopify Pay. Each of these may have there own privacy policies. Please check with the directly.

If you contact me, your e-mail and any other information is not shared with anyone. Your e-mail will be used only to respond to your request. I do not send out newsletters, sales promotion announcements, or anything else.

If you wish to communicate by phone, send me an e-mail, see the Contact Me page, and we will swap phone numbers. This will allow me to know that it is you calling and not some telemarketer. I ignore all incoming calls to my phone that have not been identified. If you share my number with someone not identified by my phone, their call will be ignored. You phone number will not be shared with anyone.

If you do wish to communicate by phone, I strongly prefer voice calls. Text messaging doesn't work well with my old fat fingers.

If you make a purchase, you will receive an e-mail confirming the purchase and a second e-mail confirming product shipment. There will be no follow up e-mails, no requests for ratings, or any other mailbox filling nonsense from me. Shopify's policy is out of my control, but I try to limit their commenications.

In the course of making a purchase, three outside organizations will be involved. The first is my credit card processor, the second is your bank, and third is your credit card issuer. Those are unavoidable to complete the transaction. I have no control over anything they do.

I never see your credit card information. That's one of the reasons I'm using a third party credit processor. All I want to know regarding a purchase is what item you bought and where to send it. That information is not shared with anyone and is used solely to complete the purchase.

It is possible that some outside app on your phone or computer may track you to my site. I can't control that and I strongly urge you to get rid of any apps that are tracking your online activities. If someone is hustling you to buy products similar to mine, they didn't get the information from me but most likely from some outside app that followed you here. While I condemn all those practices as stalking, I have no control of them.

If you got to my site from a link on a different site, I had nothing to do with putting it there and likely didn't know it existed. It is certainly not a revenue source from me for any outside party. I don't buy links.

On last thing -

If you receive an "unexpected" e-mail supposedly from me - it's NOT from me. The e-mail scam artists can easily spoof the return address to hide where the e-mail actually originates. All they need is the address. I get a couple of scam e-mails a week in my personal e-mail account allegedly from someone that has been dead for ten years. There's not anything supernatural going on - their old e-mail address was simply hijacked.
