I really liked the song - couldn't stand the movie - never have been able to watch the whole miserable thing. It could have been an opera - almost everybody dies.
This was the first song I did that I really felt comfortable with the strings as not only accompaniment but as counterpoint and counter melody. Listen for the ghostly strings developing way up high flitting around over the course of the song. This was also the first song that I used a modified pan flute as a major instrument.
