Because the song is piano based, it was an attraction to me musically. But even more, it was an attraction from a social standpoint. The Beatles were the front runners of so much social change in the 60's and 70's. They and their songs were the visible signs of the times.

But - even they - like my own feelings - had reached the point of just "Let It Be." Throughout history social turmoil has roiled one society after another. In each case, "it was impossible" for the two sides to reach an accord and to live together. And yet - eventually they did. Look back and you'll see how inevitable conflicts tend to go away - when the sides grow tired of it all - and just "Let It Be."
