Album 05 - The Webster Album - I Was Lazy Cover Art in Color as shown on the Reeves Motal Piano and Synthesizer Music Website

Yeah - I got lazy doing this one. As I said on the fourth CD notes, selecting songs is like doing a set. That can be agonizing - what to include - what to leave out - what sounds decent - what needs work - what belongs in the computer's trash bin before I embarrass myself? I've got about a hundred songs in "inventory" at any point that are "maybe's."

So - I listen to them - and listen to them - and listen to them - (sometimes cringing and ready to do like The Who and start burning instruments.) I eventually pick out 700 mb's worth that will fit on a CD. (And add and subtract, etc.) Once I've got a group of songs together, then starts more agonizing. What to start with - what to end with - what goes before each and what goes after? (This is not a good task for someone with a loose of grip on sanity like me.) Eventually I burn them to a master CD. And then second guess myself basically forever. AARGH!

But - like I said, I got lazy on this one. I was working on a different project on the "Big Computer." So on the "Dell Box," I opened up the song inventory directory and clicked a random two dozen songs to play in the background while I worked. "Hmmm - those go together pretty well. Double Hmmm - they're playing in alphabetical order, (now you know where the "Webster" came from,) and sound pretty good."

So I stuck a blank CD in the burner and this is the result. (God help ya!!)

PS Uh - about the album art. Once I hit on the Webster idea I tried to use a dictionary, but that didn't look right. So - I considered what other "alphabetic" things there were and hit on children's blocks. So it makes perfect sense right? Nope, I didn't think so either, but at least it's colorful.
