This is an odd one - either people like it a lot or absolutely hate it. What can I say? After doing My Heart Will Go On, I was enamored with the haunting flute sound and wanted to do something with it as the lead. Somewhere in my twisted mind, this popped into my head. No instrument could ever have the power of Elvis' vocals, but I think the "flute" doesn't do too bad of job of carrying the vocal track.
The "flute" vocal is actually a hodgepodge synthesizer mix of flute, pan flutes, piccolo, clarinet, soprano sax, and choir. The song is on my list to remix in full surround sound so it will dance around right through your head. Hey - I'm a child of the psychedelic 60's - what do you expect?
This is another song with backing strings way up high. With my loud sounds abused ears, I've got to tweak the equalizer to be able to hear them.
