Album 07 - One if by Land, Two if by Sea - And Three if by Air Cover Art in Color as shown on the Reeves Motal Piano and Synthesizer Music Website

Were Longfellow still around to write a poetic update for Paul Revere's (very) fictionalized midnight ride for the second British invasion, he'd need to add a third light to the belfry of Old North Church in Boston as this time the Brits mostly arrived on our shores in first class seats on BOAC, as British Airways was known in those days. It was a second revolution, one that even old George with his hatchet couldn't have stopped. The music wasn't just new, it was a radical explosion of verse, chords, and rhythm.

The Beatles were the shock troops that hit the beach first, but wave after wave of innovation followed them. The Beatles could fill a CD and more - they did some amazing songs. (They also did some horrendous crap. You won't ever hear "I am the Walrus - Coo Coo Cachoo" or any similar nonsense from my keyboards.)

Instead I wanted to show a range of what the British brought to us and the rest of the world. These songs are all over the place in style - and in styles that no one had ever dreamed of before 1964. They collection spans over twenty years, 1964 to 1986. Many are from those early first years, but to capture the true impact of the British sound, I included a few of the newer songs.

Cheerio, Lasses and Laddies!

Reeves
