Hell really has froze over because I swore I would never ever, never ever, never ever do a Christmas album!!
So what can I say, I changed my mind. As Ralph Waldo Emerson observed, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds," and I certainly wouldn't want to be accused of having a little mind. (Anyone that makes any snide comments is going on my Naughty List - permanently!!)
In selecting this eclectic (weird, warped, whatever) collection of Christmas hymns, carols, songs, and classical selections, I did have some unbreakable rules:
1. No "cute" kid songs, and in particular, absolutely no song ever sung BY a kid.
2. No songs by barber shop quartets harmonizing on odious "songs?" that were out of date before my grandparents were born, (and that is a long, long time ago!)
3. No "jazzy scat" renditions of anything, (Frank Sinatra I'm talking about you and your hideously obnoxious Jing Jing Jing Jing Jingle Bells!)
4. NO SANTA BABY!! After hearing a regurgitation of it by some GUY, the song wasn't only trashed forever, my stomach was emptied.
So - give 'em a listen and hopefully you'll find some you like.

PS The album graphic was taken at Mesa Verde National Park on a Colorado winter trip a few years back. I debated about adding some "fire" at the end of the tunnel, but figured that was a little too much.
